In the wetland on this morning, other photographers were complaining about the fog, but I thought it created an ethereal environment as it filtered out the rising sun. If you look closely, you'll see a dozen or so birds perched at the top of the trees.

The Florida wetlands are a dynamic ecosystem where the collision of warm water and cool morning air often generates a thick, low-lying radiation fog. This natural phenomenon provides a unique opportunity for landscape photographers to utilize "atmospheric perspective," where the mist simplifies the background and creates a sense of immense depth. The silhouette of the trees on this isolated island, likely a mix of Cypress or Mangrove, serves as a stark focal point against the diffused glow of the rising sun.
